ISCrim’ has a dual mission of research and doctoral supervision.

 

As far as research is concerned, fields cover the whole range of criminal matters with the aim of deepening certain major issues relating to criminal law, criminology, international and European criminal law (e.g. the enforcement and effectiveness of sentences, prison developments, administration of justice, defence rights, international criminal courts, etc.).

 

In this context, the team provides education in criminal law and criminal sciences and supervision of doctoral students.

 

This dual mission of research and supervision of doctoral students leads to a high-level editorial activity. Publications include monographs (several prize-winning theses), treatises, textbooks, articles, columns and collective works.
